6-21-24 ReleaseDiamond Life, originally released in 1984, is Sade’s debut album. It was released to widespread critical acclaim. Sade was fusing the elements of jazz, rock and soul in a way that wasn’t indulgent. The album was certified platinum in the UK and US. Diamond Life features the singles “Your Love Is King,” “When Am I Going to Make a Living,” “Smooth Operator” and “Hang On to Your Love.” The vinyl audio uses high resolution digital transfers of the stereo master mixes, from the original studio recordings, remastered at half-speed at Abbey Road Studios. The elaborate, half-speed mastering process has produced exceptionally clean and detailed audio whilst remaining faithful to the band’s intended sound.
