Released on August 22, 2006, OutKast’s sixth and final studio album, Idlewild, also serves as the soundtrack to their musical film of the same name. It’s a richly varied set, blending jazz, blues, swing, and soul in a way that feels loose, inventive, and unmistakably OutKast. The record shows just how naturally the duo could fuse genres while continuing to stretch the edges of their sound. Key singles include Mighty O, Idlewild Blue (Don’tchu Worry ‘Bout Me), and Morris Brown.
