Afie Jurvanen (Bahamas) has traded the bustle of the big city for the quiet rhythms of Nova Scotia, where his family lives simply by the ocean. After years of acclaimed records and collaborations with Canadian greats, Jurvanen’s latest chapter, and seventh studio album, finds him recording close to home in a backyard shed with his drummer Joshua Van Tassel. The result, My Second Last Album, is an effortlessly magnetic collection that blends country, indie rock, soul, and folk, carried by candid lyrics and a spirit of play. It captures a musician at peace with life’s changes, finding freedom in simplicity and joy in making music with friends.
