Description

Stevie Wonder’s 18th studio album Songs in the Key of Life is regarded as the pinnacle of his recording career. It was Stevie Wonder’s longest, most ambitious collection of songs that touched on nearly every issue under the sun, and he did it all with ambitious, wide-ranging arrangements that remain as some of the best performances of his lifetime.Songs in the Key of Life is the kind of album Stevie Wonder had preparing himself for years to make. Two years, dozens of songs, a few million dollars, and loads of anticipation produced an immensely ambitious record that is as utterly comprehensive in soul and funk sounds as it is in narrative and lyrics. A collection a life’s worth of experiences, hopes, dreams, growth and maturity into a magical, transcendent, joyous statement of self-actualization – making Songs in the Key of Life arguably a rival to Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On for being one of the greatest ever soul albums. The double album features the singles: “I Wish”, “Isn’t She Lovely”, “Sir Duke”, “Another Star” and “As”.This deluxe package includes heavyweight double vinyl produced by Motown Records as well as a extra 7″ single of the EP Stevie Wonder recorded in addition to the original album.
