a steady return for the chart-topping electro-folk songstress. 2019 sees Dido free of her old record deal (the same once since 99), and her return to the road after a 15 year gap. Disproving the old adage that familiarity breeds contempt, this record was recorded and produced at her home by her brother Rollo, the stalwart architect of her pre-Millennium hits.  Her reinvigorated voice floats in the center of gentle strums, off-kilter phasers and beats firmly in the “to study/relax to” genre. Critics have compared it to Madonna’s 1998 return to form Ray Of Light, and there is definite comfort in her mature electronica-indebted ballads.
